On November 1, 2002, Ted, Larry, Caleb and I threw a big Halloween shindig at our place. Yes, yes, it was a day late, I know! The theme of this party...a "Scooby-Doo Clue" Halloween. Ted was Velma, Larry was Daphne, Caleb was Fred, and I was Shaggy. Our guests had to come dressed up as a villain, guest star, or supporting character from any of the "Scooby-Doo" series. Matt dressed up as Gypsy Carlotta handed out the clue cards to our guests as they had to figure out who kidnapped Scooby-Doo and where he was kidnapped. Our guests then had to swap clues with each other to narrow down their suspect and location lists.

Take a look at some of the pics Drew and I took of the festivities: (Click on the thumbnails to see the full-sized pics.)

First off, the Scooby gang. From left to right: Ted as Velma, Larry as Daphne, Caleb as Fred and me as Shaggy with a perm holding Scooby

Matt as the Gypsy Carlotta deals out the clues to our guests.

Drew emerges from the bathroom as the Mad Scientist's creation! AAAHHH!

Tom arrives at the doorstep as Father May-I, armed with a book of children's stories.

Velma and Cher...Together again!

Gigi, Devon, et al at the height of the night's clue-swapping.

More special guests arrive...It's Chris D. as Gomez Addams and Brett as Uncle Fester. Yes, Chris grew a real mustache and yes, Brett really shaved his head. Boy, we have some dedicated friends!

Don't forget Morticia (played by our friend Kristin). In the back is Adrianna as Wednesday who's talking with one of the Harlem Globetrotters

The Gypsy and Mike dressed up as Lurch stand in the hallway looking off at what appears to be another hint to solving the mystery...

AAAAHHHH! The Mad Drewby has invaded the kitchen!!!!

A tantalizing trio to say the very least...Morticia Addams, Father May-I, and the mysterious Gypsy

Everybody looks in awe as Gigi presents her Tomato Soup Cake!

Holy crossover, Batman, it's Batman! Skull-capped John, however, is distracted by the oncoming gut of Mama Cass..

More mingling and clue-swapping in the backyard with Eddie as Toga Boy, Jered as the Mummy's Ghost, and Lenid as um...Lenid

Velma speaks as Darren, Andy, and Christian listen intently hoping that she'll slip and give them another clue.

Probably the most stunning costume of the night was Chris F. as a Playboy Bunny. Honestly, I didn't recognize him at first when he walked through our door

Electrified misfit of science or a stunned Elton John?...You be the judge!

Tony tries to charm the gypsy out of some more info on Scooby's captors.

The award for creepiest picture of the night goes to Drew for taking this close-up picture of Matt as Gypsy Carlotta

Actually, this picture of Velma and the Gypsy might be creepier...

While I didn't have Scooby to turn to when things got out of hand...I could always jump into the arms of Father May-I...I mean, Tom. "Evil" Fred (aka Andy) doesn't seem to approve. :-)
