Sometimes a Fantasia
Quickie...Did you all see Fantasia's performance from "Idol" last night? I get exhausted just thinking about it. It was a hot mess...in SUCH a good way. I need to get me some backup dancers and singers in leotards behind me next time I do a tribute to a dead pet...oh, and maybe I'll get some red hair dye too...ok, maybe not...but wow...

Fantasia just doesn't do it for me: she's a half-baked Macy Gray impersonator who screams a lot of what she blurts out.
And the red/red/red thing last night? WTF? Unless she was doing a straight-up PRODUCT(RED) endorsement, it's not a flattering look on her.
But now it's the "Battle of the Davids" on Idol. And while I vastly prefer David Cook (an actual, y'know, musician), I hope he finishes second to Archuleta, as the J Records/Cowell combo would keep Cook too hemmed in. As we heard last night with his admission that it was "really hard" to arrange the songs without daddy at his side, Arch is much more open to the A&R push-and-shove.
Gawd, I need a drink!
