Without a doubt..."Pushing Daisies" is my favorite new show of the season. No other show this fall has put a smile on my face as consistently as "Daisies" has. I just wanna curl up and cuddle with it each week. Such an adorable cast and I love the look and writing...you MUST watch the show if you haven't yet. It's a little on the quirky side, but it's so endearing...
People have been asking me...what do you think about the new "Price is Right" with Drew Carey? Well, I likey! Here's the thing...he's not Bob Barker and honestly nobody will ever be Barker, but if you watch the show with fresh eyes, you can see that Drew's doing a good job. What I've enjoyed the most is seeing his unbridled giddiness. It's infectious and when you get down to it, "Price" is still the fun game show we all know and love that gets us away from our daily troubles an hour day...or 39 minutes when you're using your DVR! The show still keeps its season pass spot on my DVR. Kudos to all over there for keeping the legacy going!
And as to the change to my game,
1/2 Off? The change is that a contestant now gets a guaranteed $500 for every 1/2-off item s/he picks. I'm all for it. As I had mentioned in my blog before, in the original pitch for the game, there was a rule where you could walk away with $1,000 for every 1/2-off item you picked instead of looking in the box. It's nice to see contestants have a chance to walk away with some cash even if they pick a box with nothing in it.
