The last blatherings of '07 (Part 2)
As I close out 2007 on mandelweb.com, here are seven cool memories of 2007...
1. MY 30th BIRTHDAY PARTY!
My friends Ted, Drew, and Scott helped to put together a great 30th birthday shindig for me. I have very little clue as to what they had in store. All I knew was that I needed to be available at a certain date and a certain time. In the end, I discovered that they threw me a great party and put together one hell of a video for me!
2. THE END OF A CLASSIC ERA AND BEGINNING OF A NEW ONE
I was fortunate enough to see the last prime-time "The Price is Right" special hosted by Bob Barker (featuring a guest appearance by Adam Sandler!) and months later, I got to see Drew Carey during his first tape day hosting the show.

3. THIS YEAR'S FOX REALITY CHANNEL PROJECTS
The Search for the Next Elvira, the 2007 Really Awards, Reality Remix, and the upcoming Battle of the Bods? Quite a line-up if I say so myself...
4. THE NEW PRIUS
Driving in style...and saving money and the environment at the same time! Behold...
5. THE FAMILY VISITS L.A.!
For the first time, both my parents and my sister visited me here in L.A.! I got to play tourguide with them during Thanksgiving week...took them to see a taping of "The Price is Right" and we got to see some cool sights - some which I had never seen before...like Hearst Castle!
6. A PLACE WHERE NOBODY DARED TO GO...
For years...I had been telling friends..."Xanadu" should totally be done as a stage musical. Sure, the movie was cheesy, but the soundtrack was killer...one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. Well, it finally happened! And in late November, while I was on a trip to New York, I got to see it onstage! Thankfully, it was one of the productions not affected by the stagehands strike. It was everything I expected it to be and more! The show itself put it best when it referred to itself as being like "children's theater for 40-year-old gay men." I mean, c'mon!! And it had Cheyenne Jackson...Need I say more? Just look!
7. THE "AS SEEN ON TV" HOLIDAY PARTY
The year came to a close with one of the most successful parties I've thrown. Good turnout and amazingly, very little mess...And lots of Urine Gone and Tater Mitts.
