Life in Drunken Motion
Last night, I went with a bunch of friends to the Avalon in Hollywood to see...MIKA!
The Avalon is a bit of a bigger venue than the Troubadour, but Mika's energy was not lost in the roomier quarters.
The set this go 'round threw in a couple of new covers (a little Eurythmics and Jackson 5!) as well as two songs from "Life in Cartoon Motion" that I hadn't heard live before.

All in all, another great show by Mika. A big enthusiastic crowd helped add to the party atmosphere. My only gripe was that a little of the intimacy from the Troubadour was lost. Nevertheless, it's great to see Mika making it into bigger venues.
And the random celeb sighting of the night...Cat Deeley from "So You Think You Can Dance!" Actually, it's probably not so random since Mika's scheduled to appear on the show next month.
Didn't take too many pics from the show. The couple I took came out blurry. Probably due to a mix of the darkness of the venue, my distance from the stage, and the two strong drinks I had that night...Yipes!

So much fun. Wish we all could have gone to the after party though. I bet that was fun. T.R. Knight was there too! Did you see him! HE's shorter than I thought he was. All in all a great night. It was great to see you again Mandel!
