Shabu...shabu....la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la-la

No, it's not the song from the Japanese version of "Clue: The Movie." It's what I had for dinner last night.

Went out with a few friends including my friend Eddie who was visiting from Florida at the shabu shabu place in Hollywood and Highland. The food was good, but I am such a mess when it comes to using chopsticks. Don't EVEN go there...Seriously, I lost so many noodles over the course of the evening. They'd either disappear in the pot of boiling water for cooking the food or they'd drop on the table en route to my rice bowl. It was a very, very sad display of Asian utensil inadequacy. Nevertheless, fun times all around...

One day until Clay Aiken's christmas special. Hooray! A full hour of Christmas merriment! Yipee! And Barry Manilow and Megan Mullaly are appearing! Hmmmm....
