A true LABOR day weekend...
So Ted, Larry, and I have embarked on Living Room 2.0. We're rearranging the living room this weekend and it's turning out to be quite a task...
At the moment, there are piles of books, wires, DVDs, and an assortment of other things strewn around the room. We're essentially rotating the pieces of the living room in a 90 degree angle. One of those pieces is the entertainment center. It's a sea of wires. Seeing how we haven't touched the actual entertainment center in about three years, we covered quite a bit of dust in the process. ** ACHOO **
When all is said and done, we'll have some new carpet, a bunch of new shelves, and a more TV-viewing friendly setup. * fingers crossed *
Last night, Tim helped to organize a get-together at my house to participate in The Great American Shoutout against George W. Bush. We had a handful of people come over. We ended up leaving the front door open during our shoutout. Some of the neighbors across the street wondered what the hell was going on and eventually a few of them start joining in. One of them was a mother who encouraged her son to join in the shoutout. Sure, it wasn't quite "Network," but it was pretty neat.
