This and that and this and that...

A melange of random thoughts to close out the weekend...

* Watching the "Back to School" episodes of "Press Your Luck" currently being rerun on GSN. Is it just me or do some of these high schoolers not look like high schoolers? I mean, a lot of these guys look older than most of my friends and me!

* Glad to see "The Apprentice" back in full gear. Rooting for Pamela (who seems to have more balls than any of the men) and Andy (gotta show my Crimson spirit!). Raj and his bowtie and cane bugged me by the end of the first half hour and I'm glad to see Scary Spice is getting work again. :-)

* Caught "Jack and Bobby" on the WB tonight...Methinks I'm going to be catching it again next week.

* In the midst of helping Doug celebrate his birthday today, we went to Amoeba Records. I cannot leave that place without getting something. This time I purchased the "Thrillington" album (an orchestral interpretation of Paul and Linda McCartney's "Ram" album), the "Take Your Mama" single by Scissor Sisters, and ABBA's "The Last Video" on DVD.

* Last night, Doug, his sister, and I saw "Mean Creek." Not the best movie of the summer, but not a bad movie either. We saw a trailer for "Saw" which Doug and his sister are eager to see. I, however, will be finding something else to do when they see it. Eeeek...

* Won a game of "Mario Party" on against Ted, Larry, and Doug over the weekend. Woo-hoo!!!
