I honestly loved her!

WOW! WOW! WOW! What an awesome concert...Just got back home from The Greek Theater in RECORD time from an amazing show by Olivia Newton-John.

She was phenomenal! She looked great and her voice was superb. I can't believe that she's 55. The song set was pretty much perfect. She opened with "Have You Ever Been Mellow?" and immediately followed it up with "Xanadu"!!!! She performed all of her big singles including "Heart Attack" and the one I was hoping for..."Make a Move on Me." A big highlight was a nifty bossa-nova rearrangement of "Physical." On top of that, the big surprise for me was when she did a few of her lesser-known singles like "Twist of Fate" and my favorite obscure Olivia single..."The Rumour," the song Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote for her. Never ever did I think that I would ever hear that song done live in my lifetime!

One of the coolest parts of this show was that she was backed by an orchestra. So, we got to hear all the string and wind parts for songs like "Suddenly" and "I Honestly Love You," which was her final encore.

This was a total 180 from the last experience I had at the Greek when I was trapped in for two hours in a Tori Amos show because I was in stacked parking and I had gone to just see her opening act, Ben Folds. First of all, Ted and I had great seats...Fourth row in the pit!! It was such a happy, pleasant show under the stars of L.A. The stacked parking situation (which I was dreading) was BARELY an issue. We were in and out of there in no time. The concession stand food was even good. We also spotted a celebrity...Michael McDonald from "MADtv" was sitting in the front row not too far from us. All in alll, a wonderful, wonderful "end of summer"/"beginning of fall" show.

Snapped a few blurry pics of the show with my webcam. They were taken in the midst of her performing "Magic" and her country medley...

Last but CERTAINLY not least...I made a fix to an embarassing mistake pointed out by Dougie. The link to his pic on the last section of my bio page was wrong. EEEK! I'm a baaaad baaaad boy...Now, you can see him in all his cuteness. Thanks, sweetie! :-D
