Random thoughts and updates...

My first real Valentine's Day with a special somebody was awesome. Doug and I went to Santa Barbara. Had a great hotel room just across the beach. It was literally walking distance from downtown and the zoo. We did quite a bit there. We went to the zoo, shopped along State Street, visited the mission, and the botanical gardens...We even rented a surrey and pedaled on the bike path running along the beach. It was soooo nice.

An odd find while we were in Santa Barbara. Just down the street from our hotel was a Sambo's restaurant! The time I saw a Sambo's was in Florida over 20 years ago. I was stunned...Original logo, and the original mascots. EEK! Apparently this Sambo's was the first and is the only one left in the United States.

Memo to the producers of Celebrity Mole...DAMN YOU. DAMN YOU and your Angie Everhart-ing ways. I was convinced Dennis Rodman was the Mole from Episode One and you had me going...oh, you had me going up until the reveal when I found out that I truly, truly suck at The Mole! GRRRRR....

RIP, Game Keeper...Been making many a visit to the store taking advantage of their clearance sales...

Gas prices are getting redonculous...

Went to the 6000th taping of "Price." Had such a great time there and as always the staff was great. Bumped into many a friend from the message boards there. I got an update on "1/2 Off," my pricing game. Construction on the game begins next week. I saw the set designs and I was blown away. I cannot believe so much is being put into this little game I thought of while stuck in traffic coming home from work last summer! In terms of presentation, this game is bigger than I expected..it's beyond anything I envisioned it to be!

Thanks to my friend Jim, I went to a semi-private (I think) performance by Evan and Jaron in Hollywood. It was a lot of fun. The last time I saw E & J was in 2001 when they played at the El Rey with the band Maroon (who eventually became Maroon5) opening for them. Evan and Jaron's new songs were good. It was actually a much better show than that one I saw back in 2001. It was just Evan and Jaron on guitar with an extra guitarist sitting in on a few songs. They also seemed a bit more loose and playful than before. Good good stuff. I even got to meet Evan after the show. Really nice guy. :-)
