Ba-dee-ya
OK, OK, OK...c'mon laugh at me...Franklin was straight. I was in denial...I admit it. Dang it...out of all the guys I really would have gone for on "Boy Meets Boy," I had to go for the straight one. GRRRRRR...I'm going to go to the shop and get my gaydar readjusted...big time.
Just a week away before I leave town for Reno. On one side, I'm very psyched, since this is a totally new experience. I've never had to help set up a live stage show of this scale before. On top of that, it involves putting together a version of "The Price is Right!" On the other hand, I'm never one who likes being away too long from home. In fact, this little business trip is going to take me away 2 1/2 weeks, the longest I've been away from L.A. since moving out here! Granted, there will be a 1 1/2 day gap where I'll be returning in the midst of that, but still...Speaking of which, anybody got any suggestions as to what to check out in Reno during my spare time there?
I brought some friends to a taping of "The Price is Right." on Friday and as always, it was a blast. Spoke with a few of the staffers there and it sounds like things are on the fast track with the pricing game I created. I can't wait to see how things progress with the designs and all. I'll be especially excited to see my game on that chowderboard near the turntable that has the list of pricing games to be played on the show!
It's been a fun week outside of work. One of my best friends from college, AK, has been in town all week. He's visiting from Boston. He lived out here briefly a couple of years ago, so it's been cool taking him around to the places that have changed.
Went to Fubar Friday night...Amongst the crowd of gay men was a drag and a TVs all playing old porn from the 60s and 70s. The thing was...the porn was straight porn highlighted by what seemed to be a musical number featuring a chorus line of women wearing nothing but tuxedo jackets and a top hat. Very, very odd...
Finally...Here's my new 'do. I hope I can maintain it...That's the problem I have...I get it all nice after I leave the stylist and then the next day, I can't get it to look the same...Well, here it is just in case I can never get it to look like this again:
