YAY!
The theme for my latest blog entry is...YAY!
YAY! for the season finale of "The Amazing Race" and Chip and Reichen's victory. It's still hands down my favorite "reality" show. I had to keep myself from screaming at the TV so as to not wake the roomies up since I didn't get to watch it until I had gotten home late... :-)
YAY! for this really cool new musical that TB, LL, AJ, and I saw this evening. It's called "Sneaux!." This musical is described as a "gothic figure skating musical." Don't let that throw you off. Yes, it is probably one of the most ridiculous shows I've ever seen, but it's a lot of fun. Never has a musical blended inbred families from the bayou, Nipsey Russell references, and dancing men in animals suits to skillfully. If you're in the LA area, you should check it out. It's playing at the Matrix theater on Melrose....It's funny, seeing this was a byproduct of the Olivia Newton John that TB and I were supposed to see being cancelled. But then again, isn't gothic figure skating just the next logical step after "Xanadu?"
YAY! for my friend AC's birthday. It's tomorr...Looking at the clock, it's today. And...
A late YAY! for my roomie LL's birthday...which was a couple of weeks ago.
YAY! for finally paying off my car. Yep, as of this month, I made my final payment on my little green Honda. I've had the car for four years now. And it still runs quite well. I really don't see myself getting a new car any time soon. Unless...somebody wants to get me a mini-Cooper or a VW Beetle for Christmas...or my birthday...or Arbor Day....
YAY! for McGriddles...They're not as bad as they sound...
YAY! for the third season of "Mr. Show" on DVD. Now, it's time to start putting some "Kids in the Hall" and "SCTV" episodes on DVD. Maybe even some "Fridays" episodes as well...
YAY! for some new cool friends I've met recently through Friendster, gay.com, and Planetout. It proves that the Internet ain't such a bad way to meet people.
But conversely, YAY! to those friends who in the past couple of months have gotten me off my ass and out of my house and go check out West Hollywood. I know I've been a bit critical on here about the whole "going out to clubs and bars" thing. While it's not on the top of my list of things to do, I have had a lot of fun the past couple of times. I even met a new friend one of the recent times I went. * GASP * Safety in numbers, safety in numbers. It really is about whom you go with and also having somebody else be the designated driver. * GASP * YAY!
And finally...YAY! for me finally putting a new blog entry on here for the first time in 16 days.
