This is the time...
Wow, wow, wow, wow....Just got home from seeing tonight's "American Idol" show live at the Universal Ampitheater. Astounding performances. Reuben "did his thang" and Clay was amazing. Hearing him hit that last note on "Bridge Over Troubled Water" gave me chills. The few hairs on my arm stood up listening to it. The crowd ate it up. Like last week, both of them have very strong followings. I still can't say any of them are a sure thing.
I did spot some familiar faces in the lobby of the Ampitheater. I saw Jillian Barberie looking a bit blonder than she does on TV. I almost didn't recognize her until she was a few feet away from me. Also milling about was Alden Wynn, one of contestants who went on the infamous Saddle Ranch outing this season. All I could say was, * whimper * Tamyra and R.J. from season one walked in together. And after the show I saw Jim Verraros, also from season one. Talked a little bit with him and his recent articles in "The Advocate." 'Twas pretty cool.
All in all, it was a great show and I can't wait until tomorrow's finale for another round of "spot the personality" in the audience.
Last night, was another fun one. A bunch of us got together to watch "Martha Inc.," the TV movie about Martha Stewart. Boy, it was deliciously bad...and it's a good thing! :-)
