Highs and Chos

A bit of an interesting end to the weekend here. Last night, Ted, Larry, Steve, and I went to see Margaret Cho perform at the Wiltern. This was my second time seeing her live. It was GREAT...even better than her last show, "Notorious C.H.O." And it turned out to be a special performance, because there were several cameras set up to tape the show. My guess is that it's going to be part of another concert film. Fun, fun, stuff...What I really like about Margaret is that in addition to being very funny, she says some very insightful things. Very clever social commentary...

One observation we were all making is that there are two things you can almost always find at a Margaret Cho show...Gay people and Asians...oh and one other thing...gay Asians. :-)

We got back home after the show and fiddled around with the X-Men game on the Playstation2 before we all said good night and yadda yadda. In spite of the fun, something was feeling off last night between Steve and me. We talked on the phone about it today and realized that we're both wanting different things out of this. This seems to be a running theme with me as of late. I seem to have this knack of jumping the gun and thinking something is there, when there really isn't. Ack...On the upside, as with Nate (not Nathan), it's better to discover this now than several months down the line. And like Nate (not Nathan), another upside is that I've made a really good friend out of this. Nevertheless, this is really starting to get damn frustrating. But hey, what're ya gonna do? You just focus on the positives, move on, and keep on searching...
