Bloody hell
A mixed bag of a weekend of sorts...Friday morning, my boss comes up to me and asks if I want to go to Venice Beach in the afternoon to watch the wraparounds taped for the upcoming NBC game show moments special. Needless to say, I didn't have to think twice about it. So that afternoon, we drove down to Venice Beach and sure enough, there was Bob Eubanks and Monty Hall out by the beach taping different segments for the special. I was only able to hang out there for an hour so. Even still, I was introduced to Bob. In the short time that he spoke with us, he told us why he loved hosting "Card Sharks" and gave us his thoughts on the new "Feud" and "Millionaire." Score another one in the "I can't I believe I'm here doing this" column.
Went to the doctor's on Friday for the usual checkup. Got some meds for the minor cold I've been having and had the regular round of blood tests then. I don't know whether it was because I wasn't paying as much attention the last time I had them done, but I was a bit alarmed that they took four test tubes of blood out of me. * shudder * It doesn't help that I hate needles.
Later that night, I went to the Abbey with Matt, Gigi, Matt's straight roommate Jesse. He'd never been to The Abbey so it was quite the experience for him. There we met up with Gary, Drew, and a couple of Drew's friends. Had a random bumping into my friend Brad there. It was pretty crowded, but fun nevertheless, it was somewhat fun. Nothing like being around a sea of guys whom you'll never really have a chance with. Whoop-dee-doo (*twirls finger*) Oooh...is that me being cynical?!? I think it is... >:o)
Last night, I went across the backyard to Caleb's housewarming shindig. There were a good number of people there including TV's Randy West! It's just cool and surreal how intertwined my life is in the game show biz. Our friend Aaron made a funny comment about how the property that Caleb and I live on is like a "game show compound."
Today's been pretty much do-nothing. Just me being lazy watching the tube and putting off cleaning my room. Probably going to head to a friend's birthday shindig later tonight. This upcoming week should be fun though. Just keep an eye out for Tuesday night's post. :-)
