So much done, so little time to type
Heyyyy...Been a bit of the social butterfly this week. Caught up with Drew over dinner at the Galleria on Tuesday night. He was tied up all weekend with showing his brother around town. Wednesday, I went to the big "Price is Right" wrap party. Caleb was also there as well. As we stood there with hors d'ouerves in hand looking at Bob Barker sitting at a table just a few feet away from us, we thought to ourselves, "Geez, did we ever think we'd be here doing this?" It was quite a nice function. Later that night, I went with Drew and a few other folk to Largo to catch Jude in concert. Another great show. Just like the last one we saw, it was Jude solo on the guitar. This time though he had a giant teddy bear up with him on stage. You had to be there to see what I mean...After the show, I hung out a Drew's place for a bit where he and I were treated to a nice mini-concert by his friends Lauralee and Ricki. After they left, he quizzed me on my music knowledge by playing a little "Name that MP3" with me. I also gave him an extra copy of "Mickey Mouse Splashdance" I picked up at Amoeba. After his shock at the fact that I found a copy of it on CD, he popped it in his player and was able to sing along to some of the songs word for word...Quite amazing and frightening at the same time. :-)
Last night was a lot of fun. A bunch of us gathered at the Abbey...yes that's right, I got my skinny little ass over to a West Hollywood bar for once and yes, I actually enjoyed it. I think a big reason was the company. Larry, Ted, Drew, Matt, Thomas, and Gary were there. It was a bit crowded that evening because part of it was blocked off for a private party. It just nice to all hang out and shoot the breeze. We just grabbed a little corner on the patio, had some drinks, and talked shtuff. Mmm...Mandarin and Sprite...I must say, I was quite surprised by the lack of really cute guys there. It might have been beacuse I wasn't on total scope mode that night, but from what I did see, aside from this little group of sporty looking guys that showed up late in the evening, there wasn't really anything to scream about.
Speaking of Gary, my fortheboys.tv appearance has been rescheduled to this Sunday night. I'll be on live with Gary and Steve at 7 PM. And if you do watch, call in to the show!
What else, what else...things are going well here at work. "American Idol" had a great debut showing. Ted is totally hooked on it calling it his "new summer show." Not only that but "The Price is Right" primetime special last night did well too. So, three good prime-time showings for Fremantlemedia this week. With this and "Whammy's" peformance, I'd see we're not doing too badly. :-) I just hope this trend continues with our upcoming projects...especially with one a little further down the horizon that would be another dream project to work with...
